He graduated from the Milan Polytechnic. After completing his studies and apprenticeship with Gio Ponti, he founded his own architectural practice with A. Cassi Rimelli in 1928. They were responsible for many buildings, but Buffa had a particular attraction for design. The refinement and quality of his pieces are remarkable, appealing to a bourgeois clientele attentive to functionalism and modernism.
