Commonly attributed to “Johannes Andersen for CFC”, this piece was actually designed by Henning Korch for C.F. Christiansen, Silkeborg, Denmark. It even has a name: Model 308. Henning Korch’s design aesthetic is characterised by the effective use of wood veneer. Korch, unlike most Danish designers, did not create seating, instead he perfected his craft designing other types of wooden furniture. While not much more is known about Henning Korch, his designs speak for themselves. The manufacturer, C. F. Christensen A/S Møbelfabrik, Silkeborg, only worked with outstanding designers, including Illum Wikkelsø, Johannes Andersen and of course, Korch. This beautiful serving trolley bar cart is an example of his hung to rounded forms in slim lined design. The trolley is in good condition consistent with age and use.
