The "Columbus" lounge or easy chair by Hartmut Lohmeyer for Artifort. Made and designed in the Netherlands in 1957. This Mid-Century chair is quite rare, since not many where sold by Artifort. We gave it a nice and modern touch by reupholster it with a faux Polar Bear fur. This makes the chair soft, warm and a pleasure to sit in. The lounge chair has a black wooden frame and new white fake fur upholstery. In good condition. Hartmut Lohmeyer was a architect and furniture designer. In the 1950s and 1960s he developed furniture for Wilkhahn.
