Welcome! You have just looked at a rare retro black desk lamp designed by Floris H. Fiedeldij approximately end fifties when he was starting up his Artimeta business. This desk light works fine. It is in fair vintage condition with visible signs of use. Some dents at the shade and some small at the foot. Original wiring. Artimeta was founded by Floris H. Fiedeldij in 1960. Artimeta produced beautiful luxurious lighting and furniture. Mathieu Matégot, a French creator designed for Artimeta as well. The majority of the product line was sold in Germany. Floris employed about 15 people. Artimeta was very successful those days and investors were interested to step into the Artimeta business. Fiedeldij closed a deal via a banker Fockema with Transcarbo, a subsidiary of the Oranje Nassau Mines in Heerlen.
